Safe Recovery Site Name is dedicated to reducing harm, saving lives, and promoting dignity for people who use drugs. Grounded in evidence-based harm reduction principles, we provide accessible, nonjudgmental services that support health, safety, and self-determination while connecting individuals to care and community resources.

We believe everyone deserves respect, accurate information, and tools to stay alive—regardless of where they are in their substance use or recovery journey.

Our work is guided by the core principles of harm reduction:

• Human dignity & respect – Every person is treated with compassion and without judgment. 
• Health & safety first – Reducing overdose risk, infections, and other drug-related harms is a priority. 
• Participant-centered care – Individuals define their own goals; abstinence is not required to receive services. 
• Equity & access – Services are low-barrier, confidential, and inclusive of all communities. 
• Evidence-based practices – Programs are informed by public health research and community needs. 
• Community empowerment – Education and tools are shared to help people protect themselves and others. 

To live out our mission, Safe Recovery Site Name is taking the following steps:

• Providing anonymous, low-barrier harm reduction services 
• Distributing life-saving overdose prevention tools 
• Offering education and training to individuals and community partners 
• Supporting safer use practices to reduce infections and injuries 
• Connecting participants to healthcare, housing, recovery, and social services 
• Building partnerships across Minnesota to strengthen community response and awareness 

Our Syringe Services Program is a cornerstone of our harm reduction efforts and is designed to protect individual and public health.

• Anonymous syringe exchange and disposal Participants can safely exchange used syringes for sterile ones to reduce the transmission of HIV, Hepatitis C, and other infections. 
• Sterile injection supplies Multiple syringe sizes are available for injecting medications, substances, and hormones. 
• Safer use supplies & education Information and tools to reduce injection-related injuries and infections. 
• Wound care support Basic wound care supplies and education to help prevent serious infections.
