Our history

The Frogtown Rondo Black Church Alliance (FRBCA) was born out of a shared vision among African American faith leaders to respond to the urgent needs of our communities in St. Paul’s historic Frogtown and Rondo neighborhoods. These neighborhoods, once vibrant hubs of Black life and culture, have faced decades of systemic disinvestment, displacement, and disparities in health, housing, and education. In response, FRBCA emerged as a united front—rooted in faith, community resilience, and social justice. Since our founding, we have worked to restore hope, foster healing, and create collaborative solutions through church-based leadership, strategic partnerships, and grassroots engagement. Today, FRBCA serves as a vital connector between churches, families, public agencies, and service providers, advocating for equitable outcomes and amplifying the voices of those most impacted

Our mission

The mission of the Frogtown Rondo Black Church Alliance is to mobilize the Black faith community to advance racial equity, community wellness, and opportunity for all. We are committed to building bridges between spiritual care and social action by empowering our churches, youth, and families to be agents of change. Through collaboration, culturally responsive programs, and bold advocacy, we work to heal historic harm, reduce disparities, and build thriving, resilient communities in Frogtown, Rondo, and beyond.
